I try my best to source updated parts from suppliers who stand behind the parts sold. Most parts come from the Manufacture of the make that is presented for repair, if available i will source the common failed parts by manufacture with updated proven not to fail again parts. Sometimes parts are on back order or even worse national control back order. I will then try to source that part number through several vendors. If all parts are available, your vehicle will be done in the order it was received and all parts arrived for the repair. I'm fair and will not push someone in front of another individual.

I went to my Dealer in Burksville Kentucky where I bought my truck. I went there with shifting problems they did the whole computer and test drive thing to confirm. Called me to let me know my vehicle was out of warranty and quoted me with a price to replace the transmission of $7126.00. Said that's the only way to cure the issue. The parts guy is my neighbor so I asked him when he arrived home, if he knew of any cheaper options. He said let me call a friend in Campbellsville KY he was talking several months ago about a builder that fixed his sons old truck for over half that. My neighbor called me that evening and said here is a phone number, the mans name is Joey and he is GM Master Certified. TAPS had my truck fixed in 4 days, and it only cost me $3312.31. Told me the truck is going to shift stronger now and will get tighter as i drive it and it learns. I couldn't be happier at all. Joey called me a month later to see how everything was going. Never had a shop ever reach out like that once they received payment. It's a time where it's hard to find honest, reliable businesses, these guys are the exception. I'll be a loyal customer for life. I will start off by saying this I bought a 2016 Chevy Truck knowing the issues everyone talks about with the engine lifters, and the transmission. I just like the way these trucks look. Now moving on to the reason for this review. I was on the Cumberland Parkway coming home from work everything was good, got off the exit ramp, turned and got up to 55 mph and the whole truck started shaking. I was 15 mins from the house. I pulled into a gas station and called a tow truck. Had it towed to a shop in town. They called me on Monday and said that a lifter had failed on cylinder 1. They said it will probably need an engine replacement due to the fact that the cam shaft is probably damaged. They quoted me for a GM Crate Engine at 7800 dollars with some added misc parts that may be needed. They also quoted me a used engine with 60 thousand miles more than my truck had on it for 5000.00 with some added misc parts. I had the truck shipped to local dealership. They said it would be about 1600.00 to disassemble to point of failure in order to price the job out correctly. I asked can I get a around about number? He said depending on what all is damaged it could be 2800.00-4900.00 give or take 500.00. I remember a friend in church talking about this new guy that fixed his truck, how good he was, and the turn around time was amazing. So I waited until Sunday and asked him. He went on and on about how much knowledge this man had. He said here is his number and his name is Joey. I would wait to call Monday fella. I said thank you and god bless. I called Joey on Monday, he said drop it off and he will diagnose the issue. Dropped off on Monday mid morning, he called just after lunch and said he is going to pull head and examine the cam for damage, it would be 500.00 and if its good or bad the 500.00 will apply to the repair. I said proceed. Joey called Wednesday Morning said cam shaft is in very good shape. He said we can do the job for around 2800.00 and that he would tune the truck so it wont occur again. That would be about 300.00. I said please proceed and thank you. He called me Friday evening and said are you ready for your truck again? I said excuse me the truck is completed? Joey said yes Sir you are good to go. he already test drove it 40 miles and put the fuel back in vehicle he used on test drive. I was floored. I said i can meet you at like 7 when my wife gets home. So he replaced all the lifters and damaged parts, installed up dated parts, and tuned the vehicle. I paid 3052.14 and the truck drives like it has never driven before, it shifts strong. I feel like it gets better fuel mileage also. Thank You Joey. I will be calling you for all my mechanically needs. I don't have a super long review to write, but I will say I will be spreading the Word in Church, Meetings, Work, and School Events. Joey with Transmission And Powertrain Solutions was affordable, efficient , and very professional. The one thing I was impressed with is that 3 weeks after I paid and picked my wife's vehicle up, Joey personally called me to make sure everything with the vehicle is working as it should. i will tell you I will never take my vehicle any where else.
